Twenty books is nothing to feel bad about! It's more than zero. :) And is definitely a good number. I would have never imagined myself reading 50 books in a year.. but I wanted to make my goal difficult this year to really encourage me to read more. And it's worked. :D Although I have been slacking for quite some time.. now I'm having to catch up by reading a lot more books in a short amount of time!

Aww, I think it's wonderful that you're thinking about mailing your card off. :) I do enjoy getting mail! Especially cards, letters, and gifts. It can really make my day when you're not expecting it. :)

Ohh, as for books. You should really check out my library page and look at all the ones I've given five stars to. I'm not sure what type of books you enjoy but some of my favorites are:

1. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
2. The Perks of being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
3. The Circle Trilogy by Ted Dekker
4. 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher
5. The Road by Cormac McCarthy
6. Samurai Shortstop by Alan Gratz
7. The Giver by Lois Lowry
8. Thr3e by Ted Dekker
9. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly by Jean-Dominque Bauby

..those are just a few from the top of my head. :)

Lovely sketch :) The only mail I've sent in the last few years have been documents, so I'm thinking of mailing my anniversary card instead of giving it this autumn.

Somewhen in January I told myself I'd get back into reading and I reckon by the end of the year I'll have finished about 20. I feel so lazy compared to long lists others have made. Next year I'm setting a minimum number.

What books would you recommend the most from what you've read recently?

Lol, I'd like to say that I totally meant to do the pun on my domain name but it was a clever coincidence, hehe. :P

It's been raining here quite a lot lately, almost non stop at times. It's nice on the days where you don't mind in staying inside but I was really wanting to go jogging today and now I can't. :( But then again, it's so nice and cool outside that Chris and I haven't even had to use our A/C yet. We keep the windows open all day and it feels so nice!

Good idea! Once I start using my planner, I'll take a few photos to share. :) I love it when others share photos of their sketchbooks/journals and etc. And I do have a moleskine! I rarely use it though, sadly. I'm too afraid I'd mess it up, haha. I'm terrible!

Hmmm, I'd say the weather over here is getting colder! Although we're a dozen of miles away from the tropical line, the weather pattern does change at the end of the year due to how the monsoon wind blows. It'll get wetter and colder by the day, which spells problems when it comes to drying our laundry, teehee.

LOL, I liked how you played the pun on your domain name! Yea, I guess it can get pretty hot (blistering, sometimes) in May. The summer over there can be pretty insane, with stretches of days without any single drop of rain, I assume? Owww.

200 books in a winter? That's insane. That'll take me around 20~30 years to finish :P I read very very s...l...o...w...ly. It's nice to set a goal for yourself! So now you can get back to your books heheh!

Ah, that's nice! Do show us your new planner in a future post! I heard that you have a Mokeskine too? :)

I love your 101-in-1001 list. I hope to make one day myself. As for now, I'm just going to stick to the monthly goals.. but I do have a list of yearly goals I want to accomplish. I think it's so satisfying marking a goal off your list once you've accomplished them. :D It's quite fulfilling!

And you're right, I did accomplish more than I didn't -- so I'm not going to be bummed about it. :D

Hi, Teddy! Happy October to you as well. How's the weather over there this time of year? Because it's absolutely lovely here -- sunny yet cool weather, no more blistering hot days again until May!

Aww, I'm sorry to hear about your postcard collection, that would have been wonderful! Maybe some day you could start over -- I have always wanted to receive post cards but sending them is almost as fun. :)

Now that I work at a bookstore with tons other book worms, seven books a month doesn't sound like a lot anymore. Those people can read several books a week. I had this one customer the other day tell me she once read 200 books during one winter! Crazy. But since I got 5-6 last month, I'm going to try and read a little more this time. Even though my goal is 7, I would love to read about 10 or so. Because after all, my goal for the year is to read 50! And I'm kind of behind. :|

I finally got me a planner. It's actually a journal/notebook that I am going to make into a planner, hehe. I've had it for 3 days and I have still not used it yet.. lol, I am terrible.

Thanks, Teddy! I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well! :)

Good job with your goals! You accomplished more goals than you didn't! Look at it that way! Plus, you still have time this month to add onto these goals! This is such a great thing to do. My 101-in-1001 often falls by the wayside because it is so broad but I think going monthly is such a fantastic idea because short term goals are so reachable and you're doing a great job! Good luck this month!!

Happy October, Trina! I have a childhood hobby of collecting postcards but sadly I don't collect them anymore. I lost my collection of postcards when my dad cleared out the cupboard without informing me in advance so they were all fed to the landfill :/

You're planning to read 7 books in a month? Wow, that's a lot. I'm a painfully slow reader and usually it takes me two to three weeks to finish one. I love reading the lines over and over again - that'll not get me beyond the 50-page mark everyday, heh!

I particularly bad at using planners - I got lots of them (just like Dayna does) but I don't really use them. Most of the time I'll pass them on to my cousins who loves to scribble and doodle on them. My life is rather unorganized and at most, I'll keep a mental checklist somewhere in my brain to remind me of what things to do. And I rely a lot of others to remind me too! Looks like it's time for me to get things straight, heh.

Have a great weekend, Trina!
