I’ve done it. I’ve started a 365.

I have such wonderful readers. Even though I have been a little distant from my blog, I still have people stopping by to read my ramblings as well as leave awesome comments. Thanks, guys. :) I hope I can continue to make use of this blog. I have so many thoughts & ideas running through my head as of late, I’m sure I’ll start blogging more frequent now.

I have debated for a year whether or not I wanted to start a 365 Project. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s where your take a photo each day for an entire year. It’s always been an appealing concept and I’m not sure what has kept me for going at it this long… But this year I have decided to go with it. Start it up and see how it goes! I’m pretty pumped. Not only do I take & share photos but I’m also bettering my photography skills. 365 photos… I can just imagine half of them being of either food, Muse or my niece. But I have plans to experiment and really get out there and take unique shots. I want to learn during this process and I am just so excited.

So far I am on day three. I did not start the beginning of the year (I don’t think it matters what day you start it on)… so by this time next year, I hope to have 365 photos. :) A visual journal of sorts! I love it.

I’ll definitely take photos each day but I doubt I’ll get around to uploading them all that day. So there may be some days where I’ll upload numerous ones. If you want to check out the ones I have so far, swing by my Photoblog which I have now dubbed as my 365 Project.

I am also in the process of updating both my Goal & Library pages. I hope to get serious & buckle down… I have tons of books to read & many goals to accomplish — and I am stoked! :)

Hope you all are having a great week! And my question for you is What do you think of a 365 Project, would you ever consider taking part in this trend? If you have, what motivates & inspires you to continue and not fall out of this project?

Good luck with your 365! I tried it in 2009 and only got as far as day 27, since I'm such a procrastinator. :) Anyway, I'm sure you'll be able to complete yours. :)

Thanks, Lexie! I hope I'm able to get through the year. My thing is not so much as procrastinating... but simply forgetting, lol. I leave my camera bag on the coffee table now so hopefully I'll see it and remember "Oh! I need to take a picture." :)

It doesn't matter which day you start it on :) no worries! I've heard friends who actually wait till January the first before starting the project, or sometimes their birthdays, but isn't that an awful waste of time during the period of waiting, I wonder :) You're quick on your feet and I'm so elated to see that your project is already up and running!

I wouldn't say my Tumblelog is a 365 project per se because as a last resort, I will still have to borrow images from Flickr users if I can't find a photo to fit my post. However, I do make a concerted effort to get a photo for my post - be it taken that day or in my older days of photography :)

Have an awesome weekend! Can't wait to hear if Chris and you are going to embark on any adventures in the next two days, heh.

I wish I would have started it on the 1st of January just so the days would be easier to manage. But honestly... I'm just glad I started one. :) And you're right, the starting point is not important at all... just as long you get all 365 photos! :) I am having so much fun too. It makes me want to borrow manuals & read tutorials & practice more. I'm really wanting to better my photography skills & hopefully learn some new techniques along the way. If you know of any good tutorials -- please share! :) I'm so eager to learn more.

And again, I love your Tumblelog project. I am quite astonished by your dedication! I've always wanted to blog every day but I just can't. :| I've tried... and I don't think it's much less that I don't have anything to say... it's that I worry that no one would care about it. :| But to me... it's almost like a journal of sorts and well... If I have something to say, I should say it, regardless of if people would get anything from it, right? I don't know, maybe I'll start journaling more. :)

I'm not so sure if we'll be embarking on any adventures soon. But we are planning a 1-2 week vacation to California this summer. I hope it works out this year because it's been a plan for ours for awhile now! :) I'm eager to start crunching numbers & such. All the planning will be fun as well. We'll see!

      Have a great weekend, Teddy!

The 365 project sounds very interesting. I'd do it! But it's about 22 days too late for me :P Possibly I'll do a "30"-project, I just have to choose the month :)

I'm doing a 365 for the first time this year, too. I'm not too worried about good quality photos or the type of shots, though, as I'm taking all of my photos on my phone :P

Quite a number of the blogs I'm reading are taking part in the project 365. It's interesting from the looks of it. I'm not sure if I'll be motivated enough to update a photo everyday. In addition, I need to spend time to start a photo blog for the project to keep track of all the photos. Since I'm so busy with school recently, I doubt I'll start anytime soon. It's an interesting project though. I can imagine the sense of accomplishment after completing the project. I find it really meaningful to look back at the photos we've taken. It reminds me of the important things in my life. It's definitely something I wish to be a part of but just not now. Maybe in a few months time? :)
